Roger James: Owner of Liberty Homes and Building

Born and raised on Long Island, Roger James is a New York kind of guy through and through.  After attending Marshall University in West Virginia, Roger worked in a men’s formal wear store and discovered his customer service skills.

He quickly saw an opportunity to open his own store and Roger’s Tuxedos was born.  For 24 years this business kept him busy in the land of cold winters and high taxes.

In 1995, Roger’s desire for warm weather and golf courses brought him to Wilmington, NC.  After the move, Roger and his cousin opened a floor covering store where he met several builders.  Eventually a partnership formed and Roger officially founded Liberty Homes and Building.

Roger has been in the home building industry ever since and hopes Liberty will continue to grow so he can play more golf!
